How does it work? Water and nutrients are pumped through the fill/drain fitting into the growing tray. When the water/nutrient level gets to the top of the Overflow Fitting sold separately, water and nutrients flow back into the reservoir, preventing the tray from overflowing. After the pump shuts off, all the water and nutrients in the growing tray drain back into the reservoir through the fill/drain fitting. Also, you can easily drain your reservoir by connecting 1/2 tubing to the special attachment point on the fill/drain fitting simply remove the top screen by pulling. Both fittings require a 1 hole.
